4,000 lbs of Cool Refreshing Ice Help LEGOLAND Florida Water Park Beat the Blazing Heat
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) just reported July 2012 as the hottest month previously observed in the US records from over the past 118 years. Central Florida has been part of that blazing with summer heat and the temperature is still rising in the August sun.
Here at LEGOLAND® Florida Water Park, we wanted to make sure our guests were extra refreshed from all this heat. So to cool things off, we brought in a giant ice trailer packed with more than 4,000 pounds of chilly ice.
Lifeguards and guests spent the morning dumping bucket loads of refreshing ice into the massive LEGO® wave pool where they got to splish and splash through ice-capped waves for some beat the heat fun.
